Busy month here!

Clare has started a new preschool. It was a tough adjustment (to put it mildly) but she seems to be doing much better! We've noticed a pretty big improvement in her speech, so the language based focus seems to be making a difference. Clare had lots of fun going to Storybook Land with her cousins. Chris took her to a Phillies Game and her life long love (just a guess) with the Philly Phanatic was born. She calls him "my green". Clare started a ballet/tap class. It's an hour long class on Monday afternoons. It's super cute to watch! It's her first big girl class, without Mommy. I'm in the waiting room with the one other paranoid mom watching on the closed circuit tv. Most of the mom's drop the kids off and come back an hour later! I'm hoping in a few more classes I'll get comfortable with that idea! Clare still loves riding Miss Special at weekly riding lessons. It's crazy to me to see how grown up she is becoming! She is a great big sister with Avery. At three, she is still willing to help and bring Mommy things. Not quite ready to hold the baby or feed her like she wants to, but overall a big help!

Avery is a whopping 8lbs, 10 oz and 21 inches long! To Chris and I, it feels like she is a giant! And compared to Clare at this age, she is! Avery has started smiling (on purpose) and cooing. It's so cute. It took me by surprise when she did it the other day. I had forgotten that milestone from Clare. Avery's adjusting to the daily 11am pick up of Clare, come rain or shine. It really is very different with the second kid.

Hope everyone is well! We'll be home in November and looking forward to seeing our Cincy and Cleveland family and friends soon!
