The last few weeks....

Clare hanging out naked. She loves to take all of her clothes (and diaper) off. I've recently laid down the law after I found her in the window, naked and dancing. So, I thought it was best to require her to keep her clothes on. Plus, I'm sure preschool would frown on that.
Sam the Man hanging out with all of our laundry. Modified bed rest for the last 12 weeks, and off and on for the last 4ish months has not lent itself to our laundry being done very regularly. I can put it in and take it out, but I can't carry the baskets up or down two flights of stairs. My Mom came back in town with us after her Surprise 50th and did all of the laundry you see in ONE DAY. I'm still not clear on how one does that. There are 8 HEAPING baskets, which translated into about 14 loads. We are still very, very grateful!
Clare and Grandmama enjoying Daddy's swim meet.
Playing dress-up with the presents Grandmama and Aunt Lisa brought home.
SNOW!!! Which was exciting the first time, but now I'm OVER it. Clare loves the snow and can play out there for at least 45 minutes before we drag her in kicking and screaming!

Snow Angels!
Jacob and Clare
This is how Clare eats lunches when Daddy's home.
Play-doh. My Rookie Mom mistake was having Santa bring a play doh machine that is food related. It was hard to convince Clare to NOT eat the play doh, but to just make "fake ice cream".

Awww....fake sad face. Fake tears followed. Such an actress.

I have lots of pics from Mom's 50th to post soon too. I'm going to try and post those by the end of the week.

As for Wild Child #2, we also have some great ultrasound pics already. We also have a great deal of "blobby" ultrasound pics too. I may get crazy this week and try and scan them in! As of right now, my subchorionic hematoma has been wild fun. I'm not on modified bed rest, more like light activity. Though, I'm still not carrying laundry baskets or running the vacuum, I am lifting Clare in the middle of the mall when she throws herself in front of the escalator screaming "STAIRS" and sobbing. The ultrasound on Thursday showed a beefy baby, waving little arms and legs at us. I will see a high risk OB at the Maternal Fetal Medicine center until the SCH clears up. I see my OB every other week and have an ultrasound every other week until it's resolved. So, yeah for weekly doctors appts.

Clare starts preschool this Tuesday. I'm obviously THRILLED. She will be the youngest child in the class (by a great deal) and the youngest child the center has ever had. But with the baby due at the end of summer, we didn't want "school" to be a huge adjustment to add to the pile. She will go Tuesday and Thursday's until June and then go back in August. Plus, her birthday places her in the Young 3's (Sept-Dec B-days) class in the fall and we preferred (if she demonstrates that she is working on level) to be in the regular 3's class in the fall. This taste in the Young 3's class will hopefully give us a feel for how well she will do in the class next year. Also, being in the regular 3's gives her the best chance to test into the better 4 year old class. Lots of stuff to think about!

Hence the lack of blog updates:)

I hope everyone is doing well and had a great January!
