Dear Dr. P,
After weeks of cross-referencing Chris and I's schedule, I finally, finally found time to make an appt. It was (as you know) a required follow up to get my Imitrex refilled. As I had the VERY WORST migraine of my life on Sunday, I figured it imperative to make sure I was at your office bright and early for my 8:15 appt. I scheduled it 2 weeks ago. After waking an hour and half earlier than normal, I arrived at your office 15 minutes early. After paying my co-pay and presenting my insurance card, I took a seat in your empty waiting room. At 8:10am, the phone rang.
Dr. P, you may know where this is going. You were the one calling. The nurse closed the little half window. Never a good sign, I'm fairly nosey. She then called me up. To tell me that because I was your only appointment before 9:30, you wouldn't be coming in this morning. If I wished, you would do me a FAVOR and come in at 9:15 to see me.
Dear Dr. P. I hate you. Not the mild hate I reserve for idiots. Not even with the hate I have for certain politicians, actors and other big mouths. No sir. I hate you in a very special place in my heart. This place is called the "I'M AN F'ING STAY AT HOME MOM WITH 2+ HOURS OF NAP TIME EVERY DAY THAT I WILL NOW UTILIZE TO LIGHT YOU ON FIRE WITH". Sir, please know the forewarned is fair warned. I will be calling every one I can think of. Currently the list includes my insurance company (whom I am simultaneously writing a letter requesting that you no longer be an eligible provider for), the local medical board, every board you are accredited with, every local message board I can find and every yahoo, google or major search engine with a "write a review" option for their yellow pages search engine.
That is all.
Have a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
The Lady who lost it at your office this morning.

Chris was needlessly to say, shocked to see me so early this morning. He asked me if the police we're out front after I told him the story. I said they weren't and asked him why. He thought I was too calm for the situation.
ReplyDeleteClearly, he knows me.
So, did you go back this morning (Grandma Gail)?
ReplyDeleteNo, this all happened this morning. I only had Chris at home until 9:15. I can't make appts. any later or he'll have to go in late and use comp time or sick time or something. Hence, the 8:15 appt. I had to leave. I was super pissed.
ReplyDeleteHe has seen you before, so if he was even a half competent Dr, he should have recognized your , um, "ability" to go bat-shit crazy... so really he is at fault for his own demise. Bring on the crazy!
ReplyDeleteI believe he was under the impression (mistakenly of course) that you won't make it your life's work to ruin his. Poor foolish man.
