Trick-or-Treat
We had a very successful Halloween here!
Our town always has tons of trick or treaters and they go from 3-8, so we always get a ton of candy on hand. We didn't start giving out candy until 5pm, so we had probably 300 or so kids before we went inside around 7.
Clare was a butterfly and she helped us pass out candy on the front porch. We made the mistake of giving her a few pieces out of our basket and so the battle of wills started early between us. She wanted to get into the big basket more than anything. Aunt Jessica took her around with Lilyana, which was a big hit!
Some of the other pics:
-I read a suggestion on the internet about making your pack and play into a ball pit. It was a big hit! Chris had the idea to put her and the balls into the blue bucket, which she really liked. It was so comfortable, she hung out in the blue bucket for a half an hour. She does throw them out of the blue bucket, which is how I discovered my kid is punking me every day. She totally knows how to clean up! I asked her to put the balls back in the bucket and now she goes around the living room picking them up. This means she is fully aware that the toys belong in the storage chest, but is willing to watch me do all the work. I was complaining to my mom, who was laughing at me. She can't relate to having a child not pick up their own things. You see, I was such a clean child. Always making sure my room was perfect. Everything has a place and constantly cleaning and such. Life is so not fair.
-Clare recently lost a toy to the basement for future use. Her pink music table has to go away for now. She can climb on top of it (where she stands and looks around). She also uses it to scale baby jail by pushing it up to the edge.
-Last but not least, PIGTAILS! My favorite:)
Hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween!
Aunt Heather and Aunt Erin will be here on Wednesday, so I'm sure we'll have some more fun pictures soon:)

Grandmama is loving those curls.
ReplyDeleteAunt Lisa loves them, too. I told you, April, that you wouldn't be able to brush all of the curl out of her hair. Red is her color.
